Here at Tough Gear we like to be straight forward with your company and give realistic testing to provide constructive feedback that will benefit both your company and potential gear buyers. We only do business with companies that we make personal contact with! We like to get to know the kind of people that make the products and we will not promote a product if we feel that it is not up to par or able to meet standards. We also like to finish with a hand shake. Nothing makes it more possible to promote a product then having the full confidence and personal contact in the modern technological age.

We provide a detailed review of each piece of equipment and can on request preform specific tests and strength challenges. If your gear is strong enough to meet the Tough Gear Challenge then we will feature it on our page along with the detailed review.
Gear Testing Process
The gear testing process starts with your company making contact with us. After contact has been made we will start the gear information and testing objectives. The most important thing is that a personal contact is made within the company! After this is done and equipment is acquired the testing can begin.
About Us
No gear is ever promoted on this site or our blog without being personally tested by our staff. We are all National Outdoor Leadership School Graduates and promote sustainable backcountry travel and leave no trace ethics. We know gear and we know material. We have experience with modern equipment and up to date products from multiple gear companies. We have logged countless hours in the backcountry and derive from multiple backgrounds. We have experience both in the mountains and on the river and do not sacrifice our safety when testing gear. We only expect quality and will only promote quality! But most important, we are normal everyday outdoorsmen and women who enjoy traveling in the backcountry and spending time in the great beauty Mother Nature has blessed us with.
